Programs
Health (Nutrition & WASH) Programs & Services
The health (Nutrition & WASH) initiative seeks to improve community health outcomes by promoting proper nutrition, enhancing food security, and ensuring access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene. These integrated programs focus on equipping communities—especially women, children, and underserved populations with the knowledge, tools, and infrastructure necessary for a healthier and improved quality of life.

The WASH Program aims to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene in communities by enhancing access to clean water, promoting good hygiene practices, improving waste management, and strengthening partnerships for advocacy. Through infrastructure development, hygiene education, waste management, and collaboration efforts, the program seeks to reduce health risks and improve environmental conditions for underserved populations.
Protection and Support Programs
The Protection and Support Programs aim to enhance community safety and security by strengthening protection mechanisms, responding to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and safeguarding children from abuse and neglect. Through community-based protection, SGBV prevention and response, and child protection efforts, the program seeks to provide critical support, raise awareness, and empower local leaders to address and resolve protection issues, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Sustainability and Environmental Programs
The Sustainability and Environmental Programs aim to promote eco-friendly practices that support long-term environmental sustainability. Through initiatives in sustainable agriculture, climate change education, renewable energy adoption, and water resource management, the program seeks to enhance productivity, reduce environmental impact, and empower communities to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. These efforts will contribute to improved resource management, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
Emergency Response and Preparedness
The Emergency Response and Preparedness program delivers timely support to disaster-affected communities through rapid assessments, relief distribution, child protection, shelter, psychosocial care, and preparedness training. It aims to protect vulnerable groups and strengthen community resilience.

To support the mental health and well-being of individuals affected by emergencies. This program offers counselling, therapy, and group support to help individuals manage trauma and stress. Trained teams provide services through centers and mobile units, while community members receive psychological first aid training. The expected outcome is better mental health and well-being. Success is measured by increased service access, improved coping, and high participation.
Education is a fundamental human right for all children and youth. A quality education provides children and young people with the skills and confidence they need to allow them to live lives that they have reason to value. Education creates the voice through which other rights can be claimed and protected.
Displacement has a devastating impact on learning, and often leads to an education being denied or interrupted. Children and youth may suffer from traumatic experiences and a loss of the social networks that provide protection and support.
The capacity of education systems to deliver quality education is often significantly reduced during displacement and host communities often struggle to integrate displaced children in existing educational facilities and systems

Our expertise in education
We aim to ensure that all displacement-affected children and youth enjoy high-quality, safe and inclusive learning opportunities relevant to their psychosocial, emotional and cognitive development and needs, from the start of emergencies. This we are achieving through Accelerated Education Program (AEP) for lower Secondary supporting over 2, 500 school drop outs complete their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), over 510 students awarded scholarship to complete their Uganda Advance Certificate of Education (UACE), and over 471 youth supported with Vocational training scholarship at the different intuitions in West Nile
